Have I thanked Jackie on this blog yet? I don't think I have and I really ought to. Originally we were suppose to come together but it just wasn't happening. For some reason the idea of cramped hostels with shared bathrooms didn't appeal to her.
We couldn't afford to travel more comfortably so we decided to postpone the trip together. Jackie had already been to Europe a couple of times so she suggested I go alone. What a wife I have, I'm a lucky man. Thank you Jackie.
Next year though we are coming here together. I enjoy traveling alone but I really would prefer to have her here. I keep thinking about all the things she would love especially the price of wine. Jackie loves her wine.
l'anno prossimo insieme nell'amore e nella roma
I'm glad Jackie will visit next year. My daughter-in-law's ancestors were originally from Italy and moved to Colombia 200 - 300 years ago. The surname is Italian, Penaloza. She and my son would like to visit Italy too, and I'd go along as the baby sitter.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Southern Italy is for the lone traveler. Ah, but that Northern Italy is for amore! 'Tis much better that you share Cinque Terra, Fiereze, Lago Garda...well the list goes on and on. You've got a good start on your research! I look forward to your next entry. Thanks for all the great reading!
ReplyDeleteNurse Nell you will love every second of it when you come. Diane I am still behind on posts but I am in Sorrento now. I kept having the song Bella Notte going through my head. This is very romantic too not just for a couple of dogs. There are dogs barking in the distance and maybe thats why I'm thinking of that song.
ReplyDeleteMayhap we'll try to come at the same time, eh? what do you think of that? We want to go to Italy like nobody's business! Keep us in mind in your planning. Did I mention I've had a lot of wine? I love reading all about this!
