Now I remember one of the things I love about Ripabottoni, a giant beer is 1,80€ about $2.50. A big plate of pasta amatriciana is only 6 €. Plus for a rinky dink little place the food is really really good.
Right now I'm sitting outside of a little cafe in Termoli. Three older guys are sitting outside drinking beer and I think they are making fun of me but I didn't understand what they were saying. The one leaned over and said scherzo (joke) and they continued. He asked my name and when I told him Mike said no, Massimo. Another said no Miguel.
If they were making fun of me it's okay because they offered me some of their beer and a cigarette. The beer I took them up on but the cigarette I declined. When I said "grazie" the one guy laughed and said grazie e buon giorno and then continued on in some Italian I couldn't make out. I think he was saying that's all I know. He's not far from right.
I've got,to find out what the thumb down the side of the face means. I've seen it a few time now.
